Kristi Ryba is an artist who lives and works in Charleston, SC. Exhibiting since 1990 Ryba’s work was recently selected to be shown in Part II of the South Carolina Biennial in November 2015 at 701 CCA in Columbia, SC. Her work was included in the 2014 Fall Season of Charleston Supported Art (CSA) and 365days365artists.com. Also in 2014 Ryba was invited to serve on the 2-D jury panel for the Ohio Arts Council Excellence Awards. In 2012 she was the SCAC Alternate Visual Arts Fellow and in 2009 was an artist in residence at The McColl Center in Charlotte, NC. Her video animations debuted at Silo in New York City in 2004 and 2006, Contemporary Charleston 2004 and have been included in film festivals across the country. Ryba has exhibited in 2015, 2014 & 2013 at Artfields, Lake City, SC, 701 Contemporary Center for Art and Columbia College in Columbia, SC, Southern Ohio Museum in Portsmouth, Ohio, Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, Augusta, GA, Waterworks Visual Arts Center in North Carolina, The City Gallery at Waterfront Park, Charleston, SC, Sumter Gallery of Art, Sumter, SC, The McColl Center and Dialect Design in Charlotte, NC.
