Item Description
Our 1984 Commemorative Poster was created by Linda Morand. This poster is signed by the artist. Poster is 18" x 24"
1984 was a year when we did not select a specific theme. Instead, we selected women who were courageous pioneers in a wide range of fields. Each of them - a model for activism in a variety of forms and change. As always the poster features women from a variety of cultural groups, spheres of influence and centuries.
The women depicted on the poster are:
Dolores Huerta, labor and women's right activist
Sarah Winnemuca, American Indian activist
Mary McLeod Bethune, educator and civil rights activist
Emma Goldman, political activist and birth control advocate
Chien-Shing Wu, experimental physicist
Elizabeth Cady Stanton, women's rights activist
Margaret Bourke-White, documentary journalist
Poster is 18" x 24"
