Item Description
Woodland Landscape, archival inkjet print, 14 x 36 ins., edition 2/33, PLUS signed copy of Panorama of the Hudson River exhibition catalogue
This spectral panorama, at once realistic and abstract, almost belies its subject matter.
Greg Miller photographs a wide range of subjects from bold and colorful panoramas of dramatic elements of nature to intimate monochromatic artistic nudes with subtle textures and tones. He has photographed landscapes all over the world from the Adirondacks to Chilean Patagonia. His first book of photographs, The Hudson River: A Great American Treasure (Rizzoli, 2008) was named to The Bloomsbury Review’s Favorite Books of the Year list for 2008. This photograph is part of Miller's ongoing series of photographs of the Hudson River Valley.
The Dorsky featured two exhibitions of Miller’s work as part of its 2009 Quadricentennial Celebration: The Hudson River – A Great American Treasure and Panorama of the Hudson River. The catalogue for Panorama of the Hudson River was co-produced by the Open Space Institute.
