Item Description

Joan Miro (Spain, 1893-1983), Miro a l'enere II (M. 838). Original color lithograph, 1972.70 signed and numbered impressions on paper with large margins plus 20 HC impressions. There were also a number of unsigned impressions publshed in Yvon Talliendier's Miro a l'encre, an important study of Mira as a printmaker published in Paris in 1972, of which this is one. Image size: 347x258mm.

Appraised by Andrew D. Weiner, PhD. Director, Spaightwood Galleries, Inc.

This print is unmatted and unframed. The identifying inscription on the front, lower right is probably not the artist's signature; this is from the unsigned group of prints.

[This print is part of a collection of prints from a gallery in New York that was going out of business. The gallery owner’s son donated these prints to Congregation Ahavath Shalom (CAS).

While this print was evaluated as an original Chagall by a gallery that specializes in such prints, CAS makes no warranties or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the authenticity of this print. All works of art are being auctioned and sold by CAS on an “as is” basis.]
