The quaint town of Santa Margarita was founded in 1889 and is located in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains just north of the Cuesta Grade. Its main street is speckled with an antique shop, wine tasting, nursery and country store.
Spend a lazy weekend getting to know the charming town and its stunning surrounds:
- 4 x 4 Safari Adventures - Bring a snack, lace up your boots, bring your camera and climb aboard a true ranch 4 x 4 Safari vehicle. No doors, no windows, no roof to block your 36o° view. (Up to seven guests)
- Zipline for two adults at Margarita Adventures where you will embark on five distinct ziplines spanning more than 4,500 combined feet, starting with an epic 1,200-foot valley crossing and finishing with our new 1,800-foot zipline that flies right over a vineyard.
- Dunbar Brewing is known for its great atmosphere and five one-of-a-kind micro brewed beers, plus seasonal creations. There are always at least two varieties on tap each day: English Style Ale, Brown Porter, IPA, Scottish Heavy or Oatmeal Stout. Includes a tasting for six plus a gift pack.
- Wine tasting for two at Ancient Peaks Winery where the perfect location has given way to some of the best wines in the area.
