Item Description
Michelle Huneven of LA Weekly says, "Yes, there's nothing I can't live without, and nothing that doesn't make life just a wee bit better [at Nicole's]."
This small gourmet shop has a selection of more than 200 cheeses from around the world, along with hard to find gourmet groceries, and a great selection of olive oils. It's also a perfect little lunch spot, with a menu that includes sandwiches on fresh baguettes, half a dozen salads, and daily specials. Try the melted brie & tomato, the smoked duck magret salad, or the ham, egg and cheese on croissant. To die for!
I'll tell you a secret. I think Nicole's Market is the best Parisian cafe in Southern California. Love the pate. Love the sandwiches. Love how it's like a neighborhood market with indoor and outdoor sitting. If you love the low key neighborly French style of eating, you have to visit this place. - Albert, Avocado Heights, YELP
As my husband and I were walking the dog one Sunday morning, we saw a flurry of activity at this place and decided to head over (its next door to the Bistro). Imagine my delight, walking in and finding a French gourmet market. What? This corner of South Pasadena makes you feel like you are in a little European town. Nicole's is now one of my favorite weekend morning spots. - Melissa, Los Angeles, YELP
