The Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum has displays in over 7300 sq. ft. of both permanent and special exhibition space. Permanent exhibition galleries showcase the rich history of the region where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. Opening with the history of the early Chinookan People and cycling through later European exploration, Pioneer settlement and vibrant industry of the area, the Museum’s four permanent galleries are rich with the objects and stories that make this region unique.
The Museum is a thriving institution with a collection of over 23,000 artifacts, photos, historic objects. The original building was remodeled in 1990 with later additions of the collections building, the IR&N freight depot, the passenger car NAHCOTTA, and the Discovery Garden.
