Item Description
Accommodations just off Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia with a custom tour of City Hall
Dane and Joan Wells, the original owners of The Queen Victoria, retired to Center City Philadelphia in 2004, where they restored one of the Rittenhouse Square area’s elegant brownstones. Dane has also become a tourguide for the Preservation Alliance, and has earned Certification by the Philadelphia Tourguides Association.
Dane and Joan are offering an overnight stay for two in their guest suite: queen bed, private bath with largeshower and footed soaking tub and also a guided tour of either Philadelphia’s Second Empire City Hall, designed in 1871 to be the largest and tallest building in the world, or a tour of Banker’s Row in the Independence National Park area, showing how and why Philadelphia was the financial capital of America up until the 1830s. They can also offer excellent advice on the area restaurants and even
a few places to prove that Philadelphia is the best beer drinking city in America (many of you may remember that Dane used to be a beer judge).
Item Special Note
The date can be arranged at a mutually convenient time. Their Apartment, at 2010 Spruce Street, is on the third floor, and popular with those who like stairs.
