Stunning 16" x 48" Acrylic & apoxy on wood panel by artist & scientist Lachlan Franquemont. This is an abstract rendering of the bodies fight against HIV/AIDS. The center represents knowledge and passion spread outwards by the red ribbons pushing back the black and gray of disease & death.
Franquemont is a nueroscientist who researches the neural correlates of the reach to grasp motion. Art & photography are his passions and meditatisons and come from from his personal philosophy. Common motifs deal with the perceptions of depth and movement, often using advancements on renaissance techniques or refinements of linear, atmospheric and shadow perspective.
