About Old Sturbridge Village
Old Sturbridge Village, a museum and learning resource of New England life, invites each visitor to find meaning, pleasure, relevance, and inspiration through the exploration of history. It is the largest outdoor history museum in the Northeast and depicts a rural New England town of the 1830s.
You are invited into more than 40 original buildings, including homes, meetinghouses, a district school, country store, bank, working farm, three water-powered mills, and trade shops - all situated on more than 200 scenic acres. Visitors can meet heritage breed farm animals and interact with authentically costumed staff.

Southwick's Zoo - General Admission for up to 2 people
Prepare to be amazed viewing giraffes, lions, tigers, white rhino’s, and chimpanzees in our beautiful 200 acres of naturalistic habitats. Southwick’s Zoo is home to 850 exotic animals from around the world and our interactive exhibits are fun for all ages. Stroll leisurely through our 35 acre deer forest, where the deer roam free or ride the Woodlands Express train ride through the North American Elk habitat and wetlands. View the African Plains and other animal exhibits from new heights on our Skyfari Skyride.
Learn about your favorite wild animals, such as a kangaroo, armadillo or chameleon at the EARTH Discovery Center. Get up close and personal with farm animals, featuring chickens, goats and alpacas at our Petting Zoo. Parakeet Landing will offer you the chance to see and hear exotic birds. Don’t miss out on animal presentations, our kid’s play park, pony and camel rides, kiddie rides and so much more! - Southwick’s Zoo is Naturally Entertaining!

Tuesday through Saturday: 10AM-5PM
Sunday: noon to 5PM
The EcoTarium is open year-round, closed on Mondays, New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. In case of severe weather, please call (508) 929-2700 for information on museum closings.
EcoTarium has many animals on exhibit and also living on the museum grounds. For their safety, USDA prohibits domestic animals anywhere on our property, including those left in vehicles. No Pets, Please.
