Item Description

12.875" x 22.75" x 1.25"

Oil on linen

Christina Beecher holds a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art.  Originally a toy designer, Christina entered art shows to stay in touch with the fine arts world.  Now she paints full time, teaches to private students and is an active board member at the AAM. She has numerous awards and is in collections around the country and participates in local exhibits and in the Greater Boston area.

Midsummer Dawn” is a recent work created in 2014.  Always inspired by nature, Christina does not work from life or photographs. Instead she creates works that come from within.  Oil paint is glazed over the tonal work, adding depth and a layered richness to the colors. The viewer is drawn into the painting by punctuating the horizon with thicker paint as well as a high contrasting color.
