Item Description

8.375" x 8.375" x .5"

Oil on panel

Christina Beecher holds a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art.  Originally a toy designer, Christina entered art shows to stay in touch with the fine arts world.  Now she paints full time, teaches to private students and is an active board member at the AAM. She has numerous awards and is in collections around the country and participates in local exhibits and in the Greater Boston area.

Light Breeze” is a small gem characteristic of Christina’s work, in that the sky is a dominant part of the composition.   Though small, the work has a grand vastness to it.  Starting with an umber under-painting, oil paint is glazed, giving color to the work.  Lighter colors are scumbled over the darker areas.   The result is an ethereal feel, which is the effect she is striving for in this work.
