Acrylic
Irma Cerese is fascinated with color relationships and manipulating paint on a surface. Her paintings can be seen simultaneously as landscape and abstract paint surface. Educated at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, her work was featured recently in an extensive solo show at Landing Gallery, Rockland, ME. Her work is being used as cover art for the 2016 Dick Blick artists supply catalog.
This is an edge-painted acrylic on canvas. It is of a favorite subject near my home, with the familiar landscape shapes rendered in fanciful colors.
