14" x 11" x 3"

Digital Photograph

Susan G. Daum has spent much of her adult life working in the technology sector as a printed circuit board designer, however her passion to photograph the surrounding world has evolved into a form of chronicling life’s changes and events, always seeking a different perspective.   She has exhibited in various member and juried shows at AAM, Grimshaw-Gudewicz Art Gallery, Wickford Art Association and the So. County Art Association.

The work, “Cape Neddick Light Station (Nubble Light), York, ME” came from Ms. Daum’s desire to uniquely portray a very iconic lighthouse, though thousands have already photographed it. She waited for one brief moment when the backdrop of dramatic sky with illuminating sun came together to reveal Nubble Light in a burst of vibrant color.  She chose to print on metal to further accentuate the vivid landscape.
