Valerie Maser-Flanagan works with an improvisational style using fabric to create abstract designs that express the lines and shapes observed in natural settings and city architecture.  Her work has been exhibited nationally and locally.

The Crevices series was influenced by lines in nature found in ice crystals, dry riverbeds, wood grains, water currents and rocks. Lines in nature may be gentle and take the path of least resistance as in dry riverbeds, or have the force to crack a rock or draw a deep fracture in the earth.
