Linocut on handmade paper
Bobbi Mastrangelo is internationally known for her “Grate Works of Art,” street-scape reliefs and embossments on hand made papers based on manhole covers, grates and drains. Who’s Who in American Art includes Bobbi Mastrangelo whose award winning art is in Museum Collections. Her message is: “Conserve and Protect Our Precious Resources.”
American Flag, Eureka was inspired by Jasper Johns Flag Series. This piece uses the water cover relief for the bed of stars, with seven red stripes imbedded into ivory paper. The linocut print on hand made paper is mounted on a raised glittery royal blue block. Antique oatmeal colored texture forms the background. The shadow box frame of natural wood with a royal blue area, compliments the patriotic artwork.
