**The artist has graciously agreed to begin the bidding at $250 to support the Attleboro Arts Museum.
Beverly Rippel was recently included in the Portland Museum of Art Biennial, “Studio Visit Magazine”, “Off The Wall” Annual Juried @ Danforth Art Museum, “Visual Alchemy” at Fountain Street Fine Art in Framingham, MA and “Sea and Aggregate Abstractions” solo at the Attleboro Arts Museum. Presently Beverly’s mixed media series is in the Danforth Art Museum’s New England Photography Biennial Exhibition.
An idea will slip into my thoughts when I least expect it. The conception of a work happens when I am physically stopped by something that fascinates me. If it is small enough, I may pick it up, turn it in my hand, or hold it up to the light of day. I study it with new eyes, and recast it in paint with a new awareness. “September Ritual” was made alla prima, meaning “all-at-once”, as I investigated the subject with my eyes and hands, paint, brush, and rags
