Silverpoint

Diane Savino holds an MFA from Vermont College of Norwich University and an M.A. Ed in painting from the Hartford Art School. She is a former art professor at Anna Maria College, Paxton, MA. She is also an independent curator who has orchestrated several egg tempera exhibits at both public and collegiate art museums and galleries. Her work has been exhibited widely throughout the US, Europe and Canada, and is found in private and public collections. She is currently represented by Vermont Artisan Gallery, Brattleboro, VT.

The piece,“Caress” is from a series investigating relationships between nature and human nature. The drawing is executed in silverpoint, which is basically a piece of silver embedded in a stylus. The Renaissance artists once utilized silverpoint with perfection. Silverpoint is achieved by using a metalpoint

This item can be shipped via UPS or picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 10-14, 2015. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10-5pm. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping and handling costs. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
