Alan Strassman launched his second career as a photographer in 2008. His work has been exhibited in many venues and is owned in private, corporate and museum collections. “Luxury Dining” is an example of the artist’s attraction to places and things that have been used and abandoned. He photographs signs of wear and tear, fatigue and neglect that are symbols of passing time, lives lived and stories untold. Abandoned architecture, often a rich complex of line, form, texture and color that attracts the viewer’s eye can also evoke a complex emotional response.
