About the Artist:

Award-winning Boston artist Sonia Hale paints official and family portraits, children's portraits in oil and pastels, as well as landscapes, seascapes and floral paintings. Sonia is a third generation student of John Singer Sargent, and studied at the New York Art Students’ League in New York City, as well as at the Copley Society in Boston and on a national basis with top-tier master artists of our time. Locally, Sonia studied and took workshops with Boston Artist Robert Cormier who passed on the traditions and values of renowned Boston School artist R.H. Ives Gammell. She also studied with nationally-recognized master Boston artist, Constance Flavell Pratt, learning nuances of pastel portrait painting. 

Sonia is a member of the Portrait Society of America, the National Arts Club of New York, New York; Oil Painter’s of America; the Artist’s Fellowship of New York, New York; the Portrait Society of Atlanta of Atlanta, Georgia; the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists of Greenwich, Connecticut and the Wellesley Society of Artists of Wellesley, Massachusetts. She enjoys attending events such as the Boston International Fine Art Show, the nationwide conference of the Portrait Society of America and Connecticut Society of Portrait Artist events.

To be used towards a head and shoulders, 3/4 of figure to include hands (seated or standing), or full length portrait. 

Prices start at $3800 for a child's oil portrait and $4500 for an adult head and shoulders oil portrait.

Shipping and framing are not included. Travel fees may apply depending on the location of the subject.
