Item Description
Eugene played four seasons at Miami (Ohio) for former Saginaw High coach Charlie Coles, earning team Defensive Most Valuable Player honors as a sophomore, then serving as co-captain his final two seasons.
He played professionally in Spain, Macedonia, Columbia and Mexico. He was invited to play for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA's Summer League, but hurt his knee.
Since returning to Saginaw, Eugene has worked with the Saginaw Pride basketball teams and has been an assistant coach for Saginaw High and Saginaw Valley State University. He was an assistant coach for the Trojans’ back-to-back state-championship teams in 2007 and 2008.
