Item Description

Drink it all in with some of Oregon's best wine from Day Wines! This case of wine includes three bottles of Hock & Deuce 80% Syrah and 20% Viognier; three bottles of Johan Vineyard Pinot noir; three bottles of Running Bare 50% Cabernet franc and 25% Tannat and Côt; and three bottles of Mamacita Malvasia bianca.

In only her third year of winemaking, Brianne Day has already been featured in Vogue Magazine and named one of America's top producers of natural wines. With six different wines, Day Wines is making big waves in the winemaking world! Now is your chance to find out what all the fuss is about!

“Hock & Deuce” 80% Syrah & 20% Viognier Mae’s Vineyard, Applegate Valley AVA 2013: Mae’s Vineyard is an organically farmed site in the Applegate Valley of Southern Oregon. The vines are 10 years old and thrive in the healthy, volcanic soil full of organic material. The fruit was picked in early October, 25% of the clusters were left whole and the native yeasts took 17 days to ferment. The wine was transferred into 7 used French oak barrels and 1 new French oak barrel. The wine was racked twice and then bottled unfined and unfiltered on July 14th, 2014. 13.5% ABV

Johan Vineyard Pinot noir, Willamette Valley AVA 2014: Johan Vineyard is a certified Biodynamic site in the new proposed “Perrydale Hills” AVA. This was my last Pinot pick of 2014 as the site ripens later than most of the Willamette Valley, due to proximity to the coast and the Van Duzer corridor. The fruit was brought in, destemmed and fermented without the use of lab created yeast or sulfur. It was aged in 10 percent new French oak and 90 percent neutral. It was racked twice and bottled unfiltered and unfined on July 15th 2015. 13% ABV

“Running Bare” Mae’s Vineyard Applegate Valley AVA, 2013: I have long been interested in the concept of field blends so I was excited to find Tannat, Cabernet franc and Côt (Malbec) all growing in Mae’s Vineyard in the Applegate Valley. The fruit was grown together, picked together, and fermented together – so blending happened in the field. 25% of the clusters were whole – the blend is approximately 50% Cabernet franc, and 25% of Tannat and Côt each. Native fermentation took 19 days and then the new wine stayed on her skins for another 5 days. The wine was pressed and put into 1 used French barrel, 1 used Hungarian barrel, and 1 new French barrel. Malo-lactic fermentation took a long time – it completed in late June. The wine was bottled in late January 2015, unfined and unfiltered. 13% ABV

“Mamacita” Malvasia bianca, Mae’s Vineyard, Eevee Block, Applegate Valley AVA 2014: When presented with the opportunity to work with Malvasia bianca I jumped at the chance. I wanted to make the wine semi sparkling in a pet-nat style. Half of the fruit was picked early in the season for floral, herbaceous aromas and the acidic structure, the other half was picked about 2 weeks later for tropical fruity notes. It was fermented without commercial yeast and without the use of sulfur in stainless steel and neutral wood. I added 8 gr/L sugar the week before I bottled to optimize the bubbles in the glass. Unfined, unfiltered, unsulfured. Under bottle cap for easy access. 13% ABV
