Item Description
Win this experience, and you and your guests will meet Alex Cohen, host of KPCC's Take Two, and her daughter Eliza, to enjoy the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, with a unique and magical spin.
One of the most enchanting places in LA, the Bob Baker Marionette Theater is a wonderland of puppetry that is truly a captivating experience for children and adults alike.
There will be a shadow orchestra, plus the mouse king, sugar plum fairy, and oh so much more, all in living, breathing marionette form. performances are awe-inspiring, with a charming, rare artistic quality that's a throwback to a different era.
After the show, you and your group will get a private backstage tour (normally off limits to the public), where you'll get to meet some of the cast and crew, and watch demonstrations of the workings of the lights, drops and strung wonders.
About the Bob Baker’s Marionettes...
The longest running puppet theater in America, Bob Baker's marionettes have entertained thousands of children and adults for over 50 years. The performances are a magical throwback to a different era, where the puppets come right up to the children, at times sit in their laps, pat their heads, and interact with them in gentle ways.
It's the kind of place you want to keep to yourself, but the kind of place that might disappear if it isn't shared. - Glen, Long Beach
