"The Long Trail snakes through the wilderness of the Green Mountains of Vermont for over 260 miles between the Massachusetts line and the Canadian border. It was based, built, and is maintained by the communal offorts of Vermont outdoorsmen. This book, too, is a labor of love on the part of its eight authors, 15 photographers, and the publisher. Proceeds above printing and circulation costs will go toward the further development of the Trail."
