Item Description
Spend 2 hours in a New York City dance studio with Joey Dowling having a contemporary solo created especially for you. (Airfare and accommodations in NY are not included.)
Joey Dowling grew up in Orem, Utah. She began her training at her mother’s studio, The Dance Club, and spent her summers in Los Angeles training at professional studios in the city. After graduating from high school, Joey attended NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she received a scholarship for one year before jumping into the professional world. Joey quickly started working in regional theatre, toured with Mariah Carey, appeared on Broadway and in film, and much more! Of all Joey’s many experiences, she finds great joy in teaching and choreographing and the opportunity to give back. Joey’s love of fashion and dance inspired her and sister Jacki to create a dancewear line: JO+JAX… check out their website at JOANDJAX.COM.
Joey has toured with Mariah Carey on her Butterfly World Tour and performed at The Radio City Music Hall as one of the world-famous, long-legged Radio City Rockettes! She appeared on Broadway as ‘Elaine’ in “Sweet Charity” with Christina Applegate, “Dance of the Vampires” with Michael Crawford, “In The Heights” and more
Joey has appeared in “Chicago: The Movie” with Catherine Zeta Jones, and “The Producers” with Nathan Lane. TV credits include “One Life to Live,” “The Dave Letterman Show,” “The Conan O’Brian Show,” “MTV Video Music Awards,” “VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards,” “75th Annual Academy Awards” and many more. Joey has also appeared in numerous TV commercials, most notably for Nike, Old Navy, Adidas and Mercedes Benz.
Joey’s choreography can be seen on TV, Broadway and more. Most recently her choreography has been showcased on ”So You Think You Can Dance” Seasons 5, 6 & 7. Joey served as the Associate Choreographer for the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit “In The Heights,” as well as the Encore Summer Series “The Wiz” at City Center.
