As the name says, this is a wine big on flavor and bold, with ripe flavors floating over a fine structure of natural fruit acidity. If you haven’t already tried it, there’s no better time than now. The Geja’s Big Bold Red is a feisty, impudent red with prominent, aggressive tannins that are fresh and forward. This is one wine you can enjoy every day of the week at a price that’s hard to beat.

There’s an organic richness to the finish that leaves a conspicuous thickness on the palate. Heavy, but manageable, the Big Bold Red fights through your taste buds and leaves a lasting impression. As one of our experts said, “The robust body is the perfect segue into the fully energized spirit of this fruity delight.” Enjoy it with oenophiles and one time drinkers alike!

2013 Bayshore Vintners Pinot Grigio with gift wrap

This lovely wine from Bayshore is produced from one of the first vineyards in California planted with Pinot Grigio that originally focused on dessert wines. That is until a wine importer, seeing the potential for table wines, used these grapes to launch a line of food-friendly table wines.  Gorgeous aromas jump out of the glass and delicious flavors of melon, citrus and tangerine are completed by a refreshing thread of crisp acidity.

Tasting Notes

This lovely wine from Bayshore is produced from one of the first vineyards in California planted with Pinot Grigio that originally focused on dessert wines. That is until a wine importer, seeing the potential for table wines, used these grapes to launch a line of food-friendly table wines. Since this wine is notable for its gorgeous aromas and delicious flavors of melon, citrus and tangerine, and refreshing acidity, and it appears the winemakers were successful in making a fantastic food wine. It was hard to make out what our expert wine panel was saying about the Bayshore Pinot Grigio because they were wolfing down their meal alongside it like animals. “Paired correctly,” one expert managed through bites, “This is a…. Wine that makes… all food better.” The expert beside her nodded furiously, adding, “You won’t be… able to… stop eating!” We let them finish their meal and enjoy the wine in peace. Grab this before your next dinner party!
