Item Description
The Life and Times of Alaskan Howard Rock by Lael Morgan
"Art and Eskimo Power chronicles the life of this influential ... artist, editor, and founder of the Tundra Times¿under whose leadership the newspaper helped to organize Alaska¿s native people to press their aboriginal land claims before Congress, which ultimately led to their being awarded over $1 billion and 40 million acres." from jacket copy
Donor Lael Morgan was an RDLN Advisor for RDLN Leader Marilyn Savage from Fort Yukon, Alaska. Marilyn led Lael to a story by her relative, which became a book called Two Old Women, a best seller for Lael's publishing company Epicenter Press. Lael is a writer, photographer and teacher. She has been generous to RDLN and in a previous auction she bid successfully on a stay at RDLN Leader Nancy Gaynor's ranch -- also available through this auction.
