Item Description
A pair of Red wines from Italy
1) 2000 Serpico Dei Feudi Di San Gregorio
A Proprietary Blend Dry Red Table wine from Italy, Campania, Italy. Feudi’s 2000 Serpico is quite expressive. Wild dark cherries, dried flowers, herbs, game, ash and bacon fat are some of the notes that flow from this rich, powerful Serpico. The French oak adds a measure of volume I am not sure the wine needs, but this is nevertheless a beautiful, almost fully mature Serpico that is a great choice for drinking today and over the next seven to eight years, give or take. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2018.
Feudi di San Gregorio is one the leading estates in Campania and Italy. Enzo Ercolino spared no expenses in snapping up vineyards and building a state of the art facility that cranks out more than 4 million bottles per year.
2) 2008 Tenuta Delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso Guardiola
A Proprietary Blend Dry Red Table wine from Italy, Etna, Sicily, Italy. This is a shapely and sophisticated expression with dark fruit tones of cassis and blackcurrant backed by crushed mineral and dried flowers.
