This new musical romantic comedy blends some of the best-loved songs from composer Stephen Schwartz’s Broadway shows (Wicked and Godspell) with some of his lesser-known gems. A moving, gorgeous new musical from one of Broadway’s superstars.
Feeling a little NAUGHTY this holiday season? You’ll fit right in at David Sedaris’s cult classic The Santaland Diaries. The show stars Valley favorite Ron May, who brings down the house in the irreverent and wickedly true tale of an Elf in Macy’s Santaland display. If a hilariously funny anti-holiday tale is what you need in your stocking, Crumpet the Elf is providing just the thing!
This is a special, limited-run production in Phoenix

Contains mature language. Tickets are general admission.
Have you been NICE all year? Santa has just the thing for you. Don’t miss one of the Valley’s most celebrated comedic actresses, Katie McFadzen, as she brings to vivid life Charles Dickens’s famous A Christmas Carol – all by herself. Dickens’s famous Christmas message is sure to be just the sugarplum your family is looking for this holiday season.

FENCES
By AUGUST WILSON
WINNER of the Pulitzer Prize
WINNER of the Tony Award for Best Play
Tucson: 01/16/16 – 02/06/16
Phoenix: 02/11/16 – 02/28/16
One of the most beloved plays of our time, Fences tells the gripping story of sanitation worker Troy Maxson, a star baseball player whose career was blunted by the racism prevalent in pre-Jackie Robinson America. Feeling his world rapidly changing, Troy builds a fence to protect what is familiar and hold off what threatens. Muscular and lyrical, this August Wilson blockbuster shows what can happen when a strong man is robbed of his dreams. Fences tells the searing story of a man who stepped up to the plate too many times only to go down swinging. Fences is a stunning play that is as American as baseball itself.
Letting a stranger in can always be dangerous. A new comedy about the calculations people are making to find love or fame in an age of social media, brightly-lit phone screens, and blogging. A raging snowstorm traps two beautiful strangers in a secluded cabin. Opposites instantly attract, undeniable chemistry ignites, and sex is imminent. As dawn rises, however, what could have been just a one-night stand transforms into something much more complicated.
Arizona Theatre Company has added a seventh show to the 2015-16 season as it presents a very special production from Stray Cat Theatre, one of Arizona’s leading indie theatre companies.
Contains mature language, adult situations, and partial nudity.
OF MICE AND MEN
By JOHN STEINBECK
WINNER of the NY Drama
Critics Circle Award for Best Play
Tucson: 03/05/16 – 03/26/16
Phoenix: 03/31/16 – 04/17/16
Emotional and stirring, John Steinbeck’s classic Of Mice And Men follows two friends – Lennie and George – as they drift from job to job across the fields and farms of Central California during the hardship of 1920s America. In a time when dreams seemed a thing of the past, these two unlikely friends dare to believe in a better life. This timeless tale of friendship, loneliness, loyalty, sacrifice, and the human connections that are our bedrock for survival in desperate times are as vibrantly resonant and relevant now as ever before.
THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO THOMAS JEFFERSON, CHARLES DICKENS AND COUNT LEO TOLSTOY:DISCORD
A new play by SCOTT CARTER
Tucson: 04/09/16 – 04/30/16
Phoenix: 05/05/16 – 05/29/16
A Founding Father, a Victorian novelist and a Russian revolutionary walk into a … stop me if you’ve heard this one. Join us for a laugh-out-loud, whip-smart new comedy as Discord takes the third U.S. President, the author of A Christmas Carol, and the author of War and Peace, locks them in room with ‘no exit’, and has them hash out their views of scripture and the true meaning of existence. A blistering battle of wits from Scott Carter, Executive Producer of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, this perceptive new comedy examines what happens when great men of history are forced to repeat it.
