Danny Zelisko presents Alan Parsons Live Project!

Performing his greatest hits on tour, Alan Parsons amazes audiences worldwide with his contributions to engineering and performing. He had dabbled with live performance in his late teens as a folk/blues acoustic player and as a lead guitarist with a blues band in the late sixties in his hometown of London. But as soon as he landed a job at the famous Abbey Road Studios at the age of 19, it became clear that the world of sound recording was to dominate his career. He was fortunate enough to work as assistant engineer on the last two albums by The Beatles and after he qualified as a fully-fledged recording engineer, he went on to work with Paul McCartney, and most notably Pink Floyd’s classic Dark Side of the Moon.

When Alan was asked what his fans can expect from his new live show, he said “We’ve established the Live Project to perform The Alan Parsons Project hits and we don’t disappoint. We don’t go ‘eclectic’ with the set lists — I walked out of a Steely Dan concert [recently] for that reason, because it was so self-indulgent! The show is fun, liberating, and it’s great to hear audience reaction. The fans will hear all the songs they know we have to play in the spectacular fashion they deserve!”

The Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation was incorporated in July of 1999 and was formed for the express purpose of returning the theatre to the community. The Foundation is an Arizona 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed out of the citizen’s group known as the Fox Theatre Revival Committee, which began looking at ways to save the theatre in 1997. This group was composed of people who wanted to see the theatre restored, and re-opened. The stated mission of the Foundation is the purchase, restoration, renovation, and operation of the historic Fox Tucson Theatre, located at 17 West Congress, in downtown Tucson, Arizona. The Foundation is guided by a professional staff and is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors. For further information on the theatre, contact the Foundation office at 520-624-1515.
