"It's in my genes, I had no choice!"  A Southern California native, Mike Simms knew from an early age that he would foray into the world of hospitality.  He and his brother grew up running around the kitchen and under the tables at French Market in West Hollywood and The Kettle in Manhattan Beach - his father's and grandfather's restaurants - but later did stints washing dishes and busing tables for spending money throughout high school." 

Simmzy's Pub: Just steps from the ocean in Manhattan Beach, Mike and his brother Chris decided the neighborhood needed a spot that served a simple, delicious burger and quality craft beer and wine.  This concept quickly came to fruition in the form of Simmzy's.  Mike shares his knowledge and passion for wine and beer with the community every day.

MB Post:  Opened in April of 2011, M.B. Post was named one of Los Angeles Magazine’s 2011 Best New Restaurants, 10 Most Memorable Meals by the Los Angeles Times restaurant critic S. Irene Virbila, and 10 Best Dishes of 2011 by LA Weekly restaurant critic Jonathan Gold. M.B. Post was also a semifinalist for the 2012 James Beard Foundation Awards in the Best New Restaurant and Best Chef Pacific categories, and 2013 semifinalist for Best Chef West.

Tin Roof Bistro: The Tin Roof Bistro embodies Mike's vision of wine country local's hangout - casual, fun atmosphere combined with chef inspired cuisine and professional, detail oriented services.  This great combination allows our guests to feel comfortable showing up in blue jeans and a T-shirt on their way back from the beach or a suit and tie on their way home from work.

Fishing with Dynamite: With Fishing with Dynamite - already named Best Oyster Bar by Los Angeles Magazine - LeFevre celebrates summers spent on Virginia's Eastern Shore and SoCal's vibrant beach communities with a menu that features only the most pristine seafood. Like M.B. Post, Fishing with Dynamite is a reflection of LeFevre's roots, his travels and his three culinary touchstones - preparing food that is artisanal, soulful and handcrafted.  FwD is open daily for lunch and dinner. The restaurant seats approximately thirty-five guests. The dining room is comprised of a combination of tables, raw bar, and a cocktail bar.

This item will be available for pick up on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:30pm at the Verdugo Woodlands Dads’ Club, 1728 Canada Blvd., Glendale, CA 91208 (in between the field and the fire station).

If the item is not picked up, the Bidder will be responsible for shipping/mailing fee, which will be added to the winning bid amount.  Items will be shipped via USPS or UPS and billed at standard industry rates.  Items cannot be replaced if broken, lost or stolen, therefore tracking and/or insurance is advised.
