Item Description
As the house lights fade, a spotlight shines down on the podium. You can hear a pin drop! Then, the orchestra rises from their seats and you walk on stage to thunderous applause! You bow to the audience, turn to the orchestra and slowly raise your baton.
Is conducting a symphony orchestra on your bucket list? The winner of this package will do just that! You will conduct the Mid Texas Symphony as they perform the most patriotic of all patriotic songs, “The Star Spangled Banner.”
The day before the concert, Maestro Mairs will take you through the basics of the process and you’ll have a run through with the orchestra.
The concert takes place on Sunday, February 21st at 4 PM at Canyon High School in New Braunfels. You’ll be billed as “Guest Conductor” and you will be able to keep the baton as a memento along with a photo of you at the podium with the orchestra in the background.
In addition, the package will also include four Platinum tickets to the concert and a gift certificate for a dining experience at the Huisache Grill!
Following your rehearsal on Saturday - join the musicians, the Maestro and MTS donors at a lovely reception at the New Braunfels Art League. Sip champagne, graze on delicious snacks hors d'oeuvres and chat with the folks who make the music happen.
Item Special Note
Rehearsal is on February 20th, concert is on February 21st.
