Item Description

ArtVentures  |  Ages 5-7 & 8-11 (Children must have completed kindergarten) Our popular ArtVentures program for children blends fun with learning through a balance of structured projects, creative expression and play. We promote artistic exploration while developing technique and critical-thinking skills. Each theme is explored through a variety of mediums and imaginative projects. Students have three breaks during the day to explore our beautiful park, play on the connecting playground or participate in a game with their peers. Our weekly programs culminate in an art show designed to showcase and celebrate each child’s artistic accomplishments.

Classes meet from 9:00am-4:00pm with a one hour lunch break and two snack breaks. Early drop-off is available at 8:00am and late pick-up is available until 5:30pm.

Instructors: Nicole Gsell and Leonie Little-Lex

Our lead instructors are professional artists with Master’s degrees in teaching. Our assistants are experienced counselors who are enrolled in or have completed college.

Bring your own characters to life in this action-packed week of storytelling! Explore superheroes, cartoon panels and animation.

July 11-15: Down Under!

Explore art, animals and landscapes of “The Land of Wonder” in our Australia-themed week. Our projects will take us to the Great Barrier Reef and will include painted landscapes of the outback inspired by Aboriginal abstract art.

July 18-22: Art in Motion

Art doesn’t have to stay put on the page! Think outside the box this week with kinetic sculptures, flipbooks and pendulum paintings.

July 25-29: Build It II

Let your inner engineer shine as you envision and build your own houses, skyscrapers and mini-worlds from a variety of materials. Children will have the chance to imagine, design and build a unique project of their choice.
