BIOGRAPHY

Dennis Di Vincenzo studied Graphic Design at Pratt Institute with Charles Goslin, who he considered to be a superb instructor, mentor, and friend. Charlie pushed his students to create graphic design and illustration that was beautiful and could grab your attention.

Di Vincenzo graduated with a BFA in Communications Design in 1977 from Pratt Institute. His first position after school was as an assistant art director at Travel & Leisure Magazine.
In 1979, Dennis was offered a position as a senior graphic designer working for DDB Needham (which was then Doyle Dane and Bernbach) in their offices at Mobil Corporation. There, Dennis worked for Jerry Demoney, who was another Pratt Graduate. At Mobil, he worked on posters, brochures, trademarks, ads, and any type of printed material the department produced.
After five years at Mobil, Dennis moved on to a major financial consulting firm, to be the manager of the design department. There, he directed a department of designers and production managers in creating marketing materials that were used to promote the services of the firm.
In 1989 Dennis decided to start Di Vincenzo Design. His clients ranged from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses and non-profit organizations. He produced a variety of pieces that included: brochures, magazines, newsletters, posters, and illustration.
After being in his own business for 17 years, Dennis returned to the consulting firm he left in 1989 to accept a position as Supervisor of Graphic Design in their Creative Services Group.
This department is responsible for creating marketing brochures, proposals for new business, websites, posters, and other materials that the firm utilizes to promote its services.
Dennis’ design and illustration work was featured in an article written by Charles Goslin that appeared in “Idea" Magazine. His work also appeared in “Print” magazine, the “Society of Publication Designers’ Annual,” and “Graphis.” Dennis has also won numerous awards from: the Westchester Ad Club and the American Graphic Design Awards. He has a design piece in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.
