Haystack Mountain School of Crafts is offering a certificate for one person's participation in this year's Island Workshop Day, on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 8:30am - 7:00pm.
Haystack Mountain School of Crafts’ annual season-opener, Island Workshop Day, brings together sixty or more participants for daylong workshops in Haystack’s studios. The program is in collaboration with the Healthy Island Project (HIP), Deer Isle. Last year's workshops included blacksmithing, ceramics, graphics, metals, writing, textiles, and wood. 2016 workshops will be similar.
Island Workshop Day participants* must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Deer Isle/Stonington or one of the Blue Hill Peninsula communities—Blue Hill, Brooklin, Brooksville, Castine, Orland, Penobscot, Sargentville, Sedgwick, and Surry—primary residence and for a least 6 months annually.
Includes workship, lunch and dinner at Haystack's campus.
