1 Jade Butterfly Brown Gorget Necklace #11 by Masha Archer
Short single strand gorget style collar of deep caramel-colored copal (tree resin-acrylic) rounds, graduated in size, from Tibet. Small serpentine jade rounds incised with spiral motifs from China. Featuring a 2.5" inch long laminate pendant of serpentine jade (one repaired Holiday) to which is fastened a carved serpentine butterfly, both from China. The Butterfly is a symbol of immortality and abundant joy in Asian lore. Lead-free pewter (30% silver) tiny cross-hatch scored rondelles, granulated discs and filigree style end-beads from India. Plated funishings and sisters clasp from the USA. The coins are three kopeks form 1984 USSR.
