Item Description

Our school is asking for 40 chromebooks for the students to use and a cart that stores and charges them.  The total cost is $17,343.85.  

This is the digital age.  As Verdugo Woodlands is working to enrich lessons and student production through technology, we find ourselves in need.  We currently have one class set of desktops in our lab (37) and two class sets of Chromebooks that roam from classroom to classroom (80).  With 850 students, that is a ratio of 850 students to 117 computers, or approximately 7 students per computer.  Although we have another 80 Chromebooks on order, that is still a ratio of 4 students per computer.
 
As we create more projects and complete more assessments online, we see a dire need for more sets of Chromebooks.  With a class set of chrome books, teachers can integrate the use of technology on a daily basis, like we use in our lives.  One of the many benefits of using Chromebooks is that your child can begin projects in class, practice a variety of Common Core State Standards and skills, access district and state assessments, and conduct research and continue these learning opportunities at home on your home devices.
