Item Description
Circa 1950 Craftsman Model 100 Bench Drill Press
It really is true that most things manufactured today are not built to last and serve as long as they were over sixty years ago, in this case, back in the early 1950’s when Sears sold this Craftsman Model 100 drill press new, that are still operating today as well as the day they were sold new.
This machine has been totally torn down; pressure washed before sandblasting, and then repainted an authentic Craftsman gray using Rust-Oleum Gloss Dark Gray spray paint before 100% bearing replacement and final reassembly. The power switch and mount board were my idea of making it more user friendly without having to drill extra holes anywhere on the castings.
Win the bid on this fine quality gem and you’ll never buy another drill press again. As a matter of fact, you can be assured that it will live on in the family for generations to come, they’re built tough.
