Item Description

Circa 1950 Craftsman 48" Belt/Disc Sander

This 1950 Craftsman belt sander is mounted to a genuine Craftsman stand offered as an accessory to the sander when new. The main bearing was repacked or replaced, as well as the belt bushings serviced. Authentic, vintage missing or worn Craftsman parts were located and restored along with the rest of the machine.

This is a powerful sander; capable of any home or commercial shop use. By simply loosening two bolts, it can be easily used in the vertical position, adding to its flexible utility. The table is made from Birch plywood with contrasting hardwood trim.

It has been faithfully painted in authentic colors as close as possible to the original, using Rust-Oleum spray cans. They are:

  1. Gloss Dark Gray
  2. Gloss Black
  3. Gloss Colonial Red
  4. Gloss Clear Coat

Make this sander yours and your wood crafting talents will be immensely enhanced.
