Item Description
Fully restored 1940’s-50’s American Pulley Company Daisy model hand truck.
Harken back to when, as a kid you went to Union Station with your folks to pick up your grandmother who had just arrived from Chicago on the Santa Fe Super Chief. Odds are that if a Red Cap were helping her with all her luggage, he might well be rolling it around on this hand truck circa late 1940’s/early 1950’s. This fully restored American Pulley Company, Daisy model has been gone through with a fine tooth comb. Well, not really but decades of odd colors of brushed on paint have been meticulously removed using sandblasting, wire brush and propane torch unitl not one vestage of the hard life this fine tool suffered, before having a color correct coat of youth restoring paint sprayed on. Actually about three coats protect the steel frame as well as the original steam bent oak handles that were painted the same color from the factory. This fine icon of a bygone era could be yours to use or display if you bid high and bid often.
Rust-Oleum spray paints were used, they are:
- Gloss Colonial Red
- Gloss Black
Item Special Note
