Item Description

Collector’s Alert -- One 3L 2007 Lail Vineyards, Mole Hill Cabernet Sauvignon

Robin Lail, one of the top women vintners of the Napa Valley, and her winemaker, Philippe Melka, make some of the finest and most sought-after wines in the Napa Valley and the world. And Mole Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is one of them.

This wine is very, very rare. It is only made in exceptional vintage years: 2007 was the first vintage of Mole Hill and only three 3 Litre bottles were made. The wine is a brilliant representation of the most exquisite Cabernets coming from Howell Mountain.

Each year, the path of the mole, pictured on the front label of the bottle, changes position. It is a true collector’s item, in every sense of the word.

Winemaker Philippe Melka says of the 2007 Mole Hill: ”This wine shows a deep red color, a complex nose of dried herbs, sweet oak, dark chocolate and Asian spices. It is beautifully balanced withpowerful tannins, complex aromatics of currant, sage, cigar box and sweet vanilla, this 2007 Mole Hill finishes with great vibrancy and finesse and should age for a long, long time.”

Shouldn’t you find a home for this beauty in your cellar?
