Item Description
Kathy Mitchell-Garton created this fabric, beads, and thread decorated violin for this 12th painted violin season. In her own words, "This winter, I became fascinated with ice and it occurred to me that ice, like a musical instrument, is the solid form of something that normally flows."

Kathy has an undergraduate degree in art from Earlham College. She has been making textile art for many years and most recenlty has focused on bead and thread embroidery.
