Mark Milner was born in Borger, Texas and began playing tennis at the age of 10. He graduated from Metro State University of Denver (MSU) with a degree in Human Performance and Sport. Mark played college tennis at MSU of Denver, Colorado and achieved 1st Team Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Singles and 2nd Team RMAC All-Conference Doubles in 2006 and 2007. He holds the 2nd All-Time Doubles winning percentage in school history. After graduating from MSU in 2007, Mark became the Head Pro at Rolling Hills Country Club in Golden, Colorado and served in this position through 2012, coaching sectional and national ranked players. During that time he also became the Assistant tennis coach for MSU in 2008. Mark helped guide players to the NCAA Small College Nationals 4 years in a row, and the 2009 MSU team finished as Conference and Regional Champions, advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16. Mark was selected as the Women’s ITA Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2012. Mark accepted the Head Men’s coaching position at Oral Roberts University in 2012. He currently holds that NCAA coaching position.
Mark is a 5.0 NTRP rated player and is a USPTA Elite Professional, also being High Performance certified. He has played on 2 USTA Adult League teams that have competed at Nationals, representing the Intermountain section. Mark is married to his wife Tiffany and they have 2 daughters, Scarlett and Amelia. Mark has professionally taught tennis at LaFortune Park Tennis Center since 2012.
