Item Description

This private, in-home dinner party-to-end-all-dinner party (for up to 12) includes:

  • Wine tasting by Rochambeau Wines & Liquors
  • Cheese box from Cellars at Jasper Hill
  • Gourmet pizza dinner made by 2s mom and professional pizza chef Ruth Kaplan

Wine tasting: 

An in-home tasting for up to 12 people hosted by Jeffrey Wooddy, general manager of Rochambeau Wines & Liquors. The tasting consists of two bottles each of 6 different wines between $25-35 a bottle and lasts approximately one-and-a-half hours. (Anyone in Westchester County, Fairfield County, or Manhattan is eligible. Tastings expire after one year and must be held between January 1st and October 1st.)

Cheese Box from Cellars at Jasper Hill: 

Jasper Hill is a working dairy farm with an on-site creamery in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Jasper Hill's mission is to make the highest possible quality products in a way that supports Vermont's working landscape. We are driven to be the standard bearer of quality and innovation in the artisan cheese industry while promoting our regional taste of place.

Gourmet Pizza Dinner:

Ruth served as pizza chef at Amorina in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, for 4 years before moving on to Balthazar Bakery and then to Pulino's in Soho. If you line up all the pizzas she’s made in her professional life, they would stretch from here to Florida! Aside from restaurant work, she has also worked as an editor at both The Magazine of La Cucina Italiana and Food Network Magazine.

Dinner will include gourmet pizzas, salad and homemade gelato for dessert. Ruth will bring all ingredients and equipment to the winner's house and cook in their oven. Think freshest seasonal ingredients like spicy kale and soppressata, baby artichokes with mint pesto, sweet corn with pancetta and arugula. Ruth will work with the winner to create a custom menu using their favorite ingredients. Vegetables from farmer's market when possible, meats and cheese from Arthur Avenue. Whole wheat crust optional (though not gluten free). (Dinner to start at 8:00 p.m. or later – post-kid-bedtime.)
