Item Description

Dawn Nolan Lombardi, a Northampton native and decorated oil painter is a graduate of Boston University's Fine Arts Program. Her work adorns both private and public galleries scattered widely around the country ...including The White House and the Smithsonian Museum. As a Connecticut resident, her work has included the state's official Holiday Card and Ornament and she has won The Distinguished Advocate Fellowship Award that has in the past been won by the likes of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.

Recent works have been permanently displayed in venues such as the Governor's Mansion in Kentucky and the Celeste Lewitt Gallery at UConn's Health Center in CT. The artist recently exhibited at the Farmington Hill-Stead Museum where she was a fixture during the summer Farmer's Market. Dawn is the current Farmington Citizen of the Year, recognizing her efforts and donations to a variety of local charitable causes including the Sudan Sunrise, The Exchange Club, Noah Wallace, Easter Seals, Hartford Bar Assoc. and many others. Current work includes taping a Public Television Series of Painting Workshops and she currently resides in Farmington, CT with her husband and two young children.
