Item Special Note
Dave Hardy was born in 1969, and received an MFA from Yale University in 2004, and a BA from Brown University in 1992. Hardy has had recent solo exhibitions at Galerie Jeanroch Dard (2016); Wentrup Gallery, Berlin (2014); Churner and Churner, NYC (2014); Regina Rex, NYC (2013); 92nd Street Y (2012); and Art in General (2009). His work has been included in group exhibitions at Invisible-Exports, New York (2015); Bortolami Gallery and Thierry Goldberg Gallery, New York (both 2014); Jack Hanley Gallery, New York (2013); The Flag Art Foundation (2009), as well as at MoMA PS 1 and Sculpture Center, New York.
Hardy’s work has been the subject of reviews in Artforum, Art in America, Frieze, the Huffington Post, Flash Art, L Magazine, and the New York Times, among others. In 2011 he was awarded a fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts, and in 2004 attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn.
