Item Description
Designer Jane D'Arensbourg created this 22" long necklace made of clear Pyrex glass and a sterling silver clasp.
Item Special Note
New York based artist and designer Jane D'Arensbourg began working with glass early in her career and became greatly inspired by the unique properties of the medium, particularly as a vehicle for light and shadow.
In her Brooklyn studio, D’Arensbourg's process starts with raw, durable, borosilicate glass rods that are welded with a torch into a free form from which the designer handcrafts one-of-a-kind styles that are completed in glass or further developed in rich metals. With each piece, D'Arensbourg honors the fragility and inherent elegance of the material, creating timeless jewelry, sculpture and lighting.
Jane D'Arensbourg has exhibited her artwork and jewelry in museums and galleries internationally. Her work can be found in esteemed stock lists from New York to Japan as well as in the permanent collection of The Museum of Art Design, New York.
