Item Description

Technology is not just something that makes our lives easier. It can also be an avenue of creativity for those who choose to engage with it on a deeper level.

If your child is inquisitive and determined, treat them to a day with Servane Demol, a 4th grade parent, where she will teach them that programming is rewarding and exciting. Servane, a former IT manager at Facebook, has accumulated years of experience. She started her career as a computer science engineer, and has worked on everything from 3D modeling to business applications. Servane is dedicated to spreading programming knowledge to young people. Deeply committed to this cause, she has taught high schoolers in rural India and created Code for Fun, an organization that exposes students to programming at an early age. Servane has seen the happy faces of students as they discover their interest in computer science, and has the experience needed to cultivate that interest in children who want to learn.

Suitable for K through 5th graders, Servane will instruct with the teaching tool BYOB which will be tailored to the age appropriate range of the learners.

For motivated 6th through 8th graders, students will enjoy learning to program their very own game- specific to their interests and imagination. This packed, specialty crash-course will offer an in-depth opportunity for exploring one’s creativity, while learning through algebraic and geometric concepts.

Being exposed to this type of learning at a young age brings children a sense of self-esteem and an exploratory attitude in their education. Expose your child to programming early “to help grow the next generations of engineers.”
