Item Description
Allow your inner food critic to meet your food ethics critic in this spectacular dining experience in the relaxed setting of a lovely Santa Cruz house. Your party of six will be hosted in the beautiful newly renovated home of Bridget Olp and Josh Faul for an evening that celebrates the elegant simplicity of local food and wonderful company. Relax and enjoy arriving to the Olp/Faul home seated at the top of a hill overlooking the town of Santa Cruz. From this vantage point, you can catch sight of the silvery hues of the grand Pacific and the soft silhouettes of the Monterey hills in the distance. Should you choose, your hosts could take you on a small hike prior to dinner, where you can admire the expansive views from the neighborhood and the nearby golf course through the network of walking trails that begin just beyond the home’s deck.
Among these quintessentially central Californian vistas, your evening continues with a true farm-to-table experience by your chef of the evening, Josh. An undisputable culinary whiz among his circles, Josh will share his impressive cooking skills through a fabulous line up of dishes fully dedicated to the use of organic, sustainable and local ingredients of the highest caliber. In celebration of the delicious seasonal bounty, one could not forget to honor the land’s celebrated terroir, with a fantastic wine and champagne pairing offered by ISTP parents, Dave Herrington and Jeannette Shelton.
Be reminded of the greatness of cooking local with this delightful farm-to-table experience amidst the gorgeous scenery of the Santa Cruz mountains. Rediscover the beauty of eating well, and walk away with a fully satisfied pallet, and conscience.
