Item Description
This custom leather bracelet features the word freedom hand-stamped on an attached aluminum plate in raised braille dots using uncontracted (Grade 1) braille. This black colored unisex bracelet is made in a versatile style that is attractive on both men and women, with a pleasant contrast between the softness of the leather and metallic rigidity of the attached customized aluminum bar.
This approximately 9.25" long and 3/4" wide leather bracelet is shaped in a slight arc to conform to the curve of your wrist, and the double set of snaps will allow you to adjust the bracelet to either approximately an 8" circumference (using both snaps) or an 8.75" circumference (using only the two outer snaps). The raised braille dots on the 1/2" wide aluminum accent bars add the finishing touch to these 3/4" wide classic bracelets. The black color of the leather is created using a mixture of vinegar and steel wool known as vinegaroon that produces a chemical change in the leather resulting in a deep black that will not rub off or transfer to your skin.
Original handmade braille gifts and handcrafted braille jewelry by Beadtography. Please be aware that their braille embossing is done by hand, so it will not be perfectly aligned or of absolutely uniform size, due to the realities of handcrafting. Please also be aware that leather colored using vinegaroon may retain a slight vinegar smell, which you may notice when you first open the mailing package. Don't worry, though - any residual smell will eventually dissipate once your bracelet is no longer enclosed in a sealed environment and you start wearing it!
